Vaccination Requirements

People who work at U.S. hospitals must have proper vaccinations.

  • It is recommended that you bring records of your Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations (Rubella is also known as German Measles).
  • Also bring confirmation that you have received your Tuberculosis (TB) vaccination.
  • If you are going to have contact with blood and bodily fluids, you should also bring record of having received the Hepatitis B vaccine.

The confirmation of your vaccinations so that you can work at the hospital should be:

  • In English (or accompanied by an official English translation)
  • On official letterhead or stationary from your doctor’s office
  • Signed by your doctor or have an original seal from your doctor’s office to confirm authenticity

You will be required to receive these vaccinations (free of charge) from the U.S. hospital at which you will work if you do not bring official confirmations of your vaccinations to the U.S. Please contact your U.S. hospital department if you need any more information or have any questions about vaccinations.
